Government Emergency Ordinance no. 117/2010 amending and completing Law 571/2003 regarding the Fiscal Code and regulating certain financial-fiscal measures

On December 30th, 2010 was published in the Official Gazette of Romania part I no. 891, the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 117/2010 amending and completing Law 571/2003 regarding the Fiscal Code and regulating certain financial-fiscal measures.

The most important changes in the Fiscal code are:

• the introduction of income tax on microenterprises;
• the introduction of compulsory social contributions;
• the introduction of special provisions regarding the verification of individuals subject to income tax;
• pollution tax;
• excise duty;
• bank deposit guarantee ceiling;
• the introduction of tickets for the organizers of gambling such as casinos, and organizers of gambling slot-machine only for the players.
